Not long ago I figured that blogging is an effective way to promote websites, I decided I should only work on wordpress based blogs, as far as we know that WordPress is ideal for almost all kinds of blogging needs, people even use it as CMS, together with Open Source License make the WordPress the most favored blogging kit around the globe.
Then I found out that I probably should build blogs myself, subsequently I can use my own blogs to promote my other websites, of course this is not a new idea, there are a lot of blog networks out there doing just that, the thing is that I don’t control those blogs, in addition there is no way I can post to them, its easy to understand that the price on those networks won’t be cheap.
Its a tedious job to maintain more than a few blogs, if you want values for your blogs,to write real stuff for your blogs will be time consuming, a successful blog needs a lot of hard work. I’ve seen quite a few real world examples, let’s examine this one, Dog bark Collar, it’s name is pretty cute, and there are a lot of interesting articles on it, though its not a theme focused blog, there are all kinds of posts on the site. One more example, Lunch Special, this one has main theme, the content on the this site has a theme, and ranks well for quite a few keywords. Its easy to show more similar sites, but the basics are all the same. Last but not least, some of your blogs should not be very serious ones, put some random content on those blogs occasionally, such as this blog, Heavy Duty Hand Tools, this will make a blog network more like naturally built blog groups.
When you already have a few interesting blogs, probably you can add a few more blogs to your arsenal, the old blogs will be helpful in promoting your newly built ones, get your own little blog network going is not that too difficult. Of course its just the beginning, the real stuff will be more complicated, do remember don’t do any spamming tricks for your sites, if you get dropped off there is no come back.
